About Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

As defined by the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC), reflexology is the study of reflexes. Reflexology Therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body.

Broken down in different terms:

Reflexology is the use of pressure point work over specific zones and reflexes on the feet, hands, or ears. These reflexes and areas relate to different parts, glands, and organs of the entire body and can benefit a person's health and wellness. And while it is not a massage, it sure feels like one making it a great way to relieve stress and relax after a long day.

Though Reflexology is able to support the body in its ability to function optimally, this practice is not used to diagnose or treat for specific conditions. Rather, reflexology can be a way to support the entire body in finding balance and natural healing. Reflexology can be paired with other treatments and wellness routines to bring about overall wellness, mindfulness, and health.

It is a great way to treat your body to some rest and repair.

What can reflexology do?

Reflexology therapy can:

  • Relieve tension

  • Improve circulation

  • And support the body’s efforts to function optimally

In turn these benefits can support those struggling with sleep, chronic pain, and anxiety, as well as many other ailments. There are so many benefits reflexology can provide. Check out our media to find out more, or book an appointment to experience reflexology first hand.
